you may find it funny but most berliners stay at home when the parade is on.. at least i'm glancing at it on the telly and listening to the records the guys are playing. at the same time i'm encoding mp3s and burning cds of this new demo mix of mine. it was a long night yesterday and it'll be three more in the clubs of berlin during the love parade. the sound of clash is omnipresent by now - they are playing dancefloor punk tracks at the parade and new wave in the cooler clubs like wmf. can't wait to see black strobe live at the gigolo night.

yesterday was a creative day.. first the evil very evil bastard pa.. crossfaders engaged.. loops galore.. then the mix, all in one go. i left a few glitches in, just as it would be in a live situation, but nothing to be worried about. oh except maybe for the bastard pa, but that's bastard art - you have to take it as it is. no mercy.

many of the tracks are those that work best on the dancefloor on euRoClash parties - like the forgotten dirty robot, the maynard track or the brand new wolfsheim song - and very specially the sitcoms, which are particularely hard to mix since they recorded without metronome.

and thank g.o.d. our own productions work just as well, like killing time or the faint remix. the beginning of the cd is a bit laid back and then speeds up to club style, then even further to dancefloor punk speeds. the ultravox classic finishes that part leading into the last ten minutes of freestyle.

i would like to thank all artists for lending me their promos, letting me remix them or just existing. i hope this mix makes up for some nice listening to the consumers and nice promotion for all of us. please go out and buy the records of your favourite artists. to those artists whose remixes i still have to do, i'm sorry - you will find yourself on the next mix.
